About: Market heat maps are an established niche data visualization of financial data. I was given the opportunity to apply my ideals of a user interface that combines WSJ’s streaming news technology with a heat map visual.  The Market Map represents financial data alongside a correlating stream of live news giving users a real time view of the market while allowing navigation of data through the market sectors and/or news stream.
